Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment: Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
Oversees incoming receiving and ensures inventory is stored according to company procedures.
Outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Determines routing, according to established schedules and meets customer barcode requirements
Inspects loading and unloading operations to ensure compliance with shipping receiving specifications. Use barcodes in accordance with company procedure.
Inspects inventory handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair.
Maintains Forklift maintenance report, drivers log and other logs.
Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving to storage and work areas.
Review shipping Orders for accuracy
Prepares bills of lading, international and domestic. Experience using UPS, FedEx and DHL
Performs other duties within the department. Back up team members when necessary , other supplies.
Assist workers in shipping and receiving activities. Supports and participates in work activities with employees rather than only directing them.
Hours and Shift: M-F, 8:30am-5pm; possible overtime
